We offer blacksmithing experience days based around what you might like to make (pokers, decorative items, hand tools etc.) and we run longer, more in depth courses if you'd like explore blacksmithing processes in detail or learn more advanced skills.
Our Blacksmithing Experience Days are often gifted to loved ones as special presents, and we send hand written letters by way of an introduction/gift certificate. We then organise dates to suit the individual once they have received their suprise!
Normally one day courses cost £115 pp if there is more than one person attending and £150 if it is one-to-one tuition that is required. Discounts are available for more than one day.
Typical Itinerary.

The main things to bring would be some fairly rough, sensible clothing. Natural, non-synthetic, non-flamable material (cotton, wool etc.) as a top layer is best for obvious reasons. Depending on the temperature enough mid-layers to keep you warm and long trousers that ideally cover the top of some sturdy shoes so no little hot bits of metal can fall into the top of your shoe!
Do remember to bring some lunch and snacks to keep you going. We've got tea and coffee facilities on hand (as well as gloves, safety glasses, ear defenders etc.).
