LONGER courses

We are traditional blacksmiths with more than 30 years experience between us and are more than keen to pass on our skills to the next generation of blacksmiths. We learnt our skills at the elbows of more experienced smiths and if possible it is definitely the way to do it.

For those that are interested we also provide longer, more detailed courses (3-5 days) which might look at traditional jointing techniques or contemporary foliage and flowers for example. Basically we'll teach you anything you'd like to know. Personal experience showed us you can't learn it all from books and new smiths who come to us for longer periods remark how much more they learn than just the techniques.

We do offer work experience if you're interested and are also willing to take on journeymen who are travelling around if they can find somewhere to stay or bring their accommodation with them.
